FAQ
What is a mental health paraprofessional?
A mental health paraprofessionals is a helper who extends the reach of mental health services, helping to bring mental health care to places where ther aren't enough therapists or doctors.
While paraprofessionals don't have a full professional license, they know how to do many effective things for people who need subclinical care. They watch how people act, help them with everyday struggles, connect people to resources, and give kind support.
Paraprofessionals work in different places, like big hospitals for mental health, vitually, in homes where people get help, and places in the community that help with mental health
This job is also a good career path for people who like to help others and are interested in the field of mental health, but who may not have the desire or resources to pursue full licensure.
